Fitability Expands Management Team ATLANTA, February 20, 2001. Former Headhunter.net Sales Executive Joins e-recruiting Firm
Fitability Systems today announced the addition of three new appointments to their executive management team.
Fitability has named Jim Canfield as senior vice president of Sales and Marketing, Mark Sampl as vice president of Marketing and Randall H. Lucius, Ph.D., as director of Research.
“These individuals bring extensive experience that will position Fitability for accelerated, profitable growth with new customer acquisition and brand awareness among the markets we are targeting,” said James R. Campbell, chairman and CEO.
Canfield’s background in e-recruiting is a critical element in developing a high growth sales and marketing organization for Fitability, which is a leading provider of online interviewing and assessment services. Previously, he was vice president of Sales at Headhunter.net (Nasdaq:HHNT), the nation’s second largest e-recruitment job site, where he was responsible for building Headhunter’s original sales force of 80 representatives that generated $25 million in annualized sales. Canfield will be responsible for driving the development and execution of the Company’s sales and marketing strategy. Canfield brings 18 years of management experience from companies including Baxter Healthcare, Abaxis, Inc. and Idexx Laboratories, where he held various senior level positions.
Sampl is responsible for brand development; marketing communications and sales support programs. Prior to coming to Fitability, he was general manager of Kinko’s Corporate Service Group, and director of Bass Hotels & Resorts brand marketing and airline sales programs. Sampl’s strategic plans validated corporate revenue growth of more than $150 million annually for both Bass and Kinko’s. His quality initiatives at Bass led product standardization among Holiday Inn Resorts that resulted in substantial upgrades to the product.
Dr. Lucius was one of the cofounders of Organizational Diagnostics Online, Inc., an Atlanta based psychological and behavioral assessment firm acquired by Fitability Systems last month. He graduated from The University of Georgia with a doctorate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has worked extensively in the areas of organizational climate, team and leadership development across a number of organizations in both the public and private sectors. In addition to giving several public presentations, Dr. Lucius has contributed numerous articles to various publications, and is currently president of the Atlanta Society of Applied Psychology.
